It will be a platform to reimagine the connotations of luxury in an Indian context - in conversation with thought leaders and in conjunction with global trends.

  1. To promote dynamism, creativity and innovation in the luxury industry.

  2. To support development of design thinking in various sectors like perfumes, design, homes, fashion, handlooms etc, where creativity & beauty can enhance the experience as well as create productivity.

  3. Formulate ideas & concepts towards utilizing our creative resources to the best & create opportunities for start-ups.

  1. Create employment & entrepreneur opportunities for women in India. Create a forum for girls to develop skill & knowledge to further help them secure employment.

  2. Support the governments skill development initiatives through policy, research & development support services & create investment interests globally.

The Luxury League Creator in Residence Programme

One of the primary objectives of the Luxury League is to strengthen the interaction of the global luxury industry with India. Part of this interaction is to learn how to brand India’s luxuries to appeal to a global market and to create an environment conducive for creative thinking and enhancing the body of knowledge and competence.

To promote this endeavour, The Luxury League is launching a Creator in Residence programme where in an Indian artisan or craftsperson will intern with a world-class luxury company in France. Each year one Indian artist will be chosen for a one-month internship with a suitable French business house. The Luxury League will conduct a pan-India talent search from the field of leather, perfume, jewelry, textiles, fashion or any related artistic field with the potential to create a global brand. The creator would be housed and the cost of their stay will be financed in some combination by The Luxury League.

This CREATOR IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM was announced at The Luxury Symposium on April 7th, 2017.
